Wow. Who knew Adam Ant rocked so hard at age 69? His voice is still strong, the band is tight and the sound/acoustics were some of the best I have heard at ACL Live/Moody Theater. The band was two guitarists, a bassist, and the highlight, two drummers that really made the songs pop especially the tribal sound of the Adam and The Ants material. The show clocked in at 90 minutes and was a greatest hits jukebox. Highlights included a rousing version of Desperate But Not Serious and then slowing it down for a lovely rendition of Wonderful. They had everyone up and dancing to Stand and Deliver as the finale. The encore of his biggest US hit, Goody Two Shoes had the whole place on its feet and ended with Physical. The show was about 90% sold out and the crowd loved it.
