Animal Collective brought their eclectic style to Austin for Levitation but due to saturated ground and the threats of more rain the festival was canceled on Thursday. Levitation spent the next 24 hours scheduling as many shows as possible at alternate locations. The largest and Saturday night’s headliner, Animal Collective was moved to Emo’s. The group didn’t disappoint. The stage was set with three huge Moni/Easter Island heads that appeared to be inspired by Picasso. This suited the psychedelic multi color projections on the stage and their experimental pop music. They performed songs from their vast library and ended the night with the catchy and upbeat FloriDada. For many this make-up concert saved their Levitation experience and allowed them to levitate.
