Diet Cig has been a two piece slop pop rock duo that consistently rocked every inch of the stage for over two years, and now they’ve added two additional members to add another layer to their performance on what is the last tour to support their first album. Anna Cory joins them playing bass and providing back up vocals as well as playing before them on tour as part of the band Spook School. Rounding out the new sound is the fourth member Karli Roberts-Helm of the band Plush, who plays synth and provides back up vocals. While Alex no longer has a ton of stage space to high kick across stage in a whirlwind of boundless energy, the show is just as high energy and jubilant as ever. She still spins in a circle while shredding on guitar in a smaller area and high kicks not quite as often. It’s impossible to catch a Diet Cig without having a smile on your face the entire time.
