The closing night of Levitation at the Mohawk was a perfect night of female empowerment with Hurray for the Riff Raff and Waxahatchee on the bill. Hurray for the Riff Raff’s Alynda Segarra masterfully blends her smooth crooning melodies with calls to address the myriad of ailments that plague the fabric of our society. Waxahatchee is the solo project of Katie Crutchfield joined by her sister Allison and band. There were countless beautiful guitars on stage, with Allison on keys as well as joining on guitar depending on the song. Katie ended the set alone on stage with an acoustic guitar singing the song Fade, as the lights fading nothing as the show ended.
