Japanese Breakfast/Michelle Zauner came out on stage full of energy in white high stop sneakers lit up with LEDs and a beautiful white one piece Super Saiyan armor style jump suit with the protruded shoulder pads, much in the way of Vegeta. Not only were her looks from outer space –her sound was as well. “This song is about robots,” she proclaimed before she commenced into one of several songs that launched us lyrically and sonically into the atmosphere. While most of the music is built around her lovely airy vocals in the dream pop realm, there was also a liveliness that touched deep into the audience’s core at the show. They finished the amazing set with a beautiful tribute encore cover of The Cranberries song Dreams.
