Lisa Loeb had Austin excited when it was announced she was going to be playing Austin City Limits festival, but that excitement faded when festival goers found out that she was only playing the Austin Kiddie Limits stage. Shortly after public outcry for another Lisa Loeb show, festival organizers announced Lisa Loeb would be playing an ACL night show at the Scoot Inn. It was a rainy night at the uncovered Scoot Inn, but there were plenty of ponchos handed out for the fans as they packed up close to the stage with Lisa Loeb equipped with a guitar, her soothing voice, and a plethora of stories and songs. Lisa was not shy with the stories, entertaining the audience with behind the scenes of how the songs were crafted (reminiscing about a song that was written as a request from a Soundtrack producer), while effortlessly strumming some chords and then going into that song. The show was something of a last minute secret pop up show with Lisa chatting with the audience between songs, even playing requests such as The Disappointing Pancake as the crowd sang along. It was a testament to her song writing and entertaining ability as she held the crowd rapt in the rainy night.
