“It’s coming,” proclaimed Lupe Fiasco to a near sold-out Belmont venue regarding his next albums, Drogas Waves. Honestly, I don’t think anyone is holding their breathe or minds the wait when given the chance to see him live at the intimate venue for the second year in a row. Possibly one of the most under rated rappers of this generation brought as his own brand of high energy presence, dance moves, comedy & stage banter, and love for his fans. One of his most adoring fans showed up last year and demanded a double encore, heckling Mr. Fiasco relentlessly for more from a top the staircase of the Belmont. Rude? Hardly when that person is legendary SNL actor and comedian Bill Murray. Will he be back for third run in 2018 at the Belmont? Only time will tell. Two more albums are on the schedule at some point in the future so I would bet on his return. His next stop is in Dallas tomorrow, Sunday, at the Gas Monkey Live. See the impromptu plug for that stop on his twitter here ->
