We sometimes forget to pay attention to our local artists when SXSW rolls around and we’re inundated with out of town acts we may never get to see again in our life unless we leave the continent. Lucky for us, UT’s Hook’em House put on an amazing event at Antone’s with Austin’s extremely talented Mobley performing March 7th, 2025 during SXSW. Out of town SXSW attendees were treated to a one man band show with Mobley switching between drums, keys, looper, and guitar –all the while singing beautifully. This was also I believe the first time an audience got to hear songs from Mobley’s new full length album “We Do Not Fear Ruins” live. It’s cliche, but the shows was one you just “Had To Be There” for.
