Molly Burch‘s strong soulful voice boomed in the Stubbs Jr venue, bringing to life an era of music not oft remembered. A cross of the Nashville sound with a touch of surf rock/lounge, Molly’s voice conjured sounds of singers like Dusty Springfield and Patsy Cline with a feeling of sorrow that universally connected the audience. It was a treat to get to see the band up close, as they opened for Grizzly Bear at ACL for two shows a few weeks ago. They’re Austin based, so there are no reasons to miss their performance the next time they play!
