The four day festival Moontower Comedy Festival is in it’s 8th year and continues to delight with a roster filled with industry veteran headliners, familiar names, and talented local acts you might not have heard of before. It seems every year we get a cast member from The Kids in the Hall; last year Scott Thompson performed in character as Buddy Thompson and this year Kevin McDonald graced the festival with several performances. The mainstay Sklar brothers were seemingly at every venue: they delighted with another live podcast taping of Dumb People Town, created memories at countless live performances, and commentated the highly entertaining Ping Pong slapdown in which Moontower comedians face off against their fans. Headliners this year included Nick Offerman, David Spade, Nate Bargatze, Sal Vulcano, Jenny Slate, Schitt’s Creek, Vir Das, Anthony Atamanuik, Jon Glaser, Ronny Chieng, Hari Kondabolu, and Amanda Seales. If you weren’t able to get into one of the many amazing headlining events, the long list of satellite events would create scheduling conflicts for even the die hard comedy connoisseurs.
