Following their sophomore album Burnout Days, flipturn kicked off their highly anticipated tour and made a stop in Austin, Texas. Performing at Stubb’s Amphitheater, flipturn took the stage and created an unforgettable atmosphere that night.
Despite the tour being named “The Burnout Days Tour”, flipturn had no signs of burning out that night. Each song was performed with such energy that you couldn’t help but smile a bit wider and jump a bit higher than ever before. The setlist was filled with songs from their latest album, as well as tracks from past albums and LPs. Starting off the night with a crowd favorite “Juno,” this is one of my personal favorites of theirs. From the jump, flipturn started off at 100% and kept it there the entire night except for one song when they push it over past 100% and they kept that intensity up throughout the entire show, only to push it even further during one particular moment. When “August” started, the entire crowd connected as one, and everyone was singing along at the top of their lungs.
This was my third time seeing flipturn live and each time they’ve gotten better. It has been so amazing to see this band get the love and recognition they deserve. Super excited to see where flipturn will go from here.
