Onry Ozzborn and his Duo Tour invaded Austin and on one of the coolest nights of the season, and he brought a van full of heat to the outdoor venue of The Gatsby on 6th.
Rafael Vigilantics, the billed opener, was anything but that. For underground hip hop fans, he is a huge draw and a performer who truly stands on his own. Combining his unique sounds of hip hop with train robber folk, he is often described as the “Iggy Pop of Hip Hop.” He will be on tour with Onry Ozzborn’s Duo tour through October.
Second up for the night was Upgrade, who was someone completely off of my radar, but who I now have on heavy rotation. He brought a depth and emotion hip hop often is missing……and needs. You definitely need to pay Upgrade a listen and catch him with Onry ,Rob Sonic, and Rafael Vigilantics on the Duo Tour before his final night with them in Maine on the 19th.
