Subhumans Deliver a Ferocious Set at The Ballroom in Austin

On April 12, 2025, UK anarcho-punk pioneers Subhumans headlined a high-octane night at The Ballroom (also known as 29th Street Ballroom) in Austin, Texas. Presented by Resound Presents, the show featured support from San Antonio’s Fea and local act Band of Bastards, drawing a diverse crowd of punk enthusiasts eager for a night of intense energy and socially charged music.

The evening kicked off with Band of Bastards at 9:00 PM, followed by Fea at 9:45 PM, who delivered a spirited performance that had the crowd moving. Subhumans took the stage at 10:50 PM, launching into a setlist that included classics like “Apathy,” “Big City,” and “Subvert City,” as well as an encore featuring “Rats” and “Religious Wars.”

The raw, close-up feel of The Ballroom amplified the connection between the bands and the audience, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the punk scene’s early days. Fans left the venue energized, having experienced a night that celebrated the enduring spirit of punk rock.
