The Front Bottoms set the tone to their show by coming onto stage to Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On with lead vocalist Brian Sella wearing a Texas flag as a cape. While usually described as indie rock, the vocals have a distinct punk cadence of urgency, reminiscent of folk punk band Defiance Ohio. A raucaus party punctuated with multiple wacky inflatable dancing men, the hour and half set flew by with the audience singing along from the intro song all the way to the encore. One of the wildest encores witnessed, both opening acts Diet Cig/Brick and Mortar joined on stage for Twin Sized Mattress and played along. Three drums going at the same time, it brought new depth to an already amazing song. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable night.
