The Thompson Twins have not performed in nearly three decades, but thankfully lead vocalist Tom Bailey has started touring with a new band and playing Thompson Twin’s music as well as new music he’s written. Playing to a huge crowd at the ACL Live Moody Theatre, the band’s sound is still the definition of 80s pop/new wave with undeniable hooks that are nostalgic and yet timeless. Bailey is ever the multi instrumentalist, playing keyboards/synth, tambourine, harmonica, guitar, and sometimes singing at the same in his voice that still deftly croons each note crisp. It was such a treat to experience the iconic music of Tom Bailey/Thompson Twins.
