The tenth annual UTOPiAfest took place November 2-4 at its new location at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas. Delightful weather accompanied the three-day camping and music festival. To celebrate their tenth anniversary, the festival brought back beloved artists from the past to perform. The crowd thrillingly applauded the performance of returning artist Rubblebucket, Valerie June, Calliope Musical and many more.
For those looking to stay up till sunrise as always there were late night acoustic sets at the Good Times Grove. Austin music charity Black Fret sponsored an acoustic stage outside of the festival’s main grounds for fans to enjoy a few of their favorite artists in a friendly and intimate setting.
Throughout the weekend there were various activities for campers to enjoy which included hikes through the scenic bluebonnet capital of Texas, disc golf, hula hooping lessons, mountain biking, and yoga by Black Swan. The main stage closed out each night with funk all-stars, The Big Ol’ Nasty Getdown and STS9. Whether it was your first time or tenth attending UTOPiAfest everyone had a memorable experience and eagerly await next year’s lineup announcement.
